Khaled Hosseini one of the most versatile novelist in the world has many books to his name like A thousand splendid suns, Kite runner etc.
The story is based on invasion of Russia over Afghanistan, and shows how it affects the life of common people. Its a really heart touching story, the mesmerizing feeling that one gets on the completion of the novel cannot be endorsed in mere words. The life of two young boys Amir and Hassan are depicted, both from an entirly different backgrounds but still the bonds of friendship is commendeblly shown in the novel.
If you are a novel reader then this is a must read book.
