Well, it is a very interesting book by an american doctor of afghan origins.
Khaled Hosseni is a remarkable writer- praised for depicting Afghanistan in a lucid manner.
His book throws light on afghan political history.
It is a good subject that deals with hopes and helplessness of afghans.
Although, on has also come across a number of good articles on this landlocked but very resurgent nation.
Hosseni has written a number of books after Kite Runner- perhaps, six!
This book makes one realize that regardless of boundaries; one is always attached to one's roots.
