Khaled Hosseini is a known name in the 21st century fiction world. The Kite Runner is his first novel, which was published in 2003. It has remained a best seller and has been liked by readers from around the world.
The book deals with cross cultural issues and also the basic difference involving poverty and wealth. Two childhood friends from Afghanistan, Amir and Hassan were like the best friends. A very unpleasant experience takes place, which shades both of their lives and lingers till the end. It has a gripping plot and has emotional counters woven around different relationships.
What it has got to do with all the sacrifice, the sense of justice and the hand of fate- makes it a brilliant read!
