I literally fell in love with this writer after reading this book.
I usually don't read English books written by non English speakers but this man pierces right through your heart. I don't know much about the writer except that he is from Afghanistan and he later lived in America.
I will not reveal the story as that would be a spoiler and not let you get the actual experience of reading the book.
A few points worth mentioning, why you should read this book:It keeps you stuck from the beginning till the end.The language is simple to understand and shows different types of humans and their thinking.
It also showcases the way people think about their statuses in the society and how regardless of class or color, one can at one point realize about their doings.
The feelings of fear, love, guilt, hatred and care are so well expressed that it captures your mind. To be frank, it took me a while to forget it was fiction when I wanted to read about Khaled Hosseini, I kept feeling like it had actually happened in his life.
I finished the the second one'The thousand splendid suns' and searching for'and the mountains echoed'.
A must read book.
