Dasharadham - One out of crore. Review on Kireedam - Malayalam Movie

sorry all, I am not writting review on kireedam , however I am writting on another film from the same director

DASHARADHAM

Malayalam movie industry has very typical culture and versatility in subject. However a movie can't be as outstandingly odd as Dasharadham. Lohitha das had always brought difference in his subject. Dasharadham also brought difference, but not for the cinema only. but also for the all artists this film has. Dasharadham broke all the conventional and methodic way of acting and Making movies. Lalettan, the gifted legendary actor India ever have seen, has faultlessly portrayed the character of Rajiv Menon. I always narrates my readers about my favorite scene in movies, simalarly here the scene in DASHARADHAM is the climax scene, When rajiv (LAL) says to Das( Murali), while Annie(Rekha) takes her child back from Rajiv and she sits back in car. Rajiv : Orupakshe ningal ee snehathinte munpil thottu pokum, Dasthen all of them goes back and the last classic scene is here like this

Rajeev: Maggie auntykku, annie avalude kunjine snehicha pole enne snehikkan pattumo..

I heard , when this scene came on screen in 80s, audience's Heart were beating with completely filled of emotion. Sibi malayil's direction and Lohita das's script has made a rare blend of historic classic movie even though movie doesn't have a appreciated recognition nowadays. Also director's succession in avoiding symbolic representation of story and incidents deserves a big round of applaud. Actors like murali, Lal, karamana, sukumaran, jayabharathi,sukumari,KPAC lalitha, Nedumudi Venu had delivered a controlled representation of their characters. When you notice some scenes like BAR scene of Lal and Venu, Climax, karamana's rejoiced face when rajeev decided to have baby of his own, these scenes are referred as Mortal scenes of Malayalam movies. The casting of Dasharadham is as fit and perfect as whales in sea. Otherwise , who else can depict all these character as perfect as these artists.

Another noticed point is, it's rare among rarest theme. One can think about a story very easily , however its not easy to develop a story out an odd theme, especially it was not happening in 80s so often. The unusual story line which had been successfully manifested in a way which audience could never expect. This can be considered as sibi malayili's best team work.It was the first time, when Dasharadham knocked out the triumph, Malayalam cinema wiped off it's hackneyed subjects and stereotypical plots. Lohitha Das deserves all the cheers for dasharadham's sensational blow.

Lal's challenging mannerism as Rajeev Menon was remarked for ever in our hearts. If we watch this movie carefully, we will notice lal's extraordinary gestures in hospital scenes.The way how Nedumudi Venu Functioned his character was stunning for all of us as always as he did in past . Murali has carried the character Chandra Das on his shoulder with complete sense of responsibility. It was one of the highest challenging character in this movie. This movie's story base and content is transferring from one character to another character from scene to scene. In point of view , Character Chandra Das held the Leading cord for long while in this movie. In Vital , Movie is compacted of Das's Fatherhood and Other Half, Annie's(Rekha) Motherhood, Kariachan's(Venu) Familymanship and above all Rajeev's stray souled life.Putting all these together Lohita Das weaved a wonderful breathtaking stuff of script. Hitting the cinema halls in 87s , Dasharadham brought a new dynamic version of film making. Movie has one another gem on it's victorious crown, that's what Karamana Janardhanan's soothing performance as pillai. Red Carpet failed to spot this prodigious actor in the role of pillai.

All in All Dasharadham Carved A new epoch of classics of Malayalam films and Malayalam movie audience got another chapter to converse on.............

As a keralite I suggest you all to watch this movie with your family on Saturdays, which delivers you a completely satisfying package of entertainment-----------------------------------
