KINGFISHER AIRLINES Review

Well, I had to go to Bombay on a personal visit at short notice. To go to Bombay, I took the Air India night flight from Bangalore. The service there was horrible. The flight attendant had a scowl on her

face and it seemed as though I (and several others) committed a crime by getting into the aircraft. The service, as expected of the national carriers was pathetic. No one came near to even enquire how things were.
Well, I am not here to review Air India, but I started with it to put things into he right perspective.
One good thing that I had done was to book the return ticket on Kingfisher(KF). Had seen an ad in the papers saying that KF is offering BOM-BLR tickets at 2999 plus the tax. It seemed an OK deal.
I was very impressed with the courteousness of the staff. They were very pleasant and helpful not to mention that they were very pretty as well.
Well, so the night before my return, I telechecked in and asked for a Window seat NOT ON THE WING and was all booke et al. Next day to my surprise, I was given a seat bang on the wing. I guessed it that the telephone attendant had mistaken it for a seat On the wing and booked me on it. But by then, I was very happy and pleased with the service.
KF had very beautiful people (wo)manning the counter. The boarding formalities were done in a jiffy. The airhostesses who were onboard the flight were supposedly handpicked by Mr Mallya himself and my word his choices were really awesome.
The inflight reading material was Asian Age and Hi Blitz, in both of which Mr Mallya has stakes. So the drool factor doesnt end with the airhostesses alone. Good reading(read drooling) material also available.
The seats were pretty large for an economy class seat(KF calls it KF class). It also provided ample amount of legroom. We were given a small pouch for keeps with earphones,pen and toffees. The flight has 5 channels of Video and 10 music channels. One channel was sports, others were Film and gossip related(showing Zoom, SetMax) and one was a channel in which the making of KF calendar was being showed. Ample amount of droolmaal yet again!!!
There is also a provision to check how much the flight has flown, whats the temp outside, how much more time etc...a first in domestic airlines.
The food was also really good and served piping hot. We reached on time.
Overall a very good experience. I wouldnt be surprised if it soon starts giving Jet a run for its money coz thats the class it shud gun for and keep itself above from competing with no frills flyers like Air Deccan.
An awesome experience to make you feel like the king of good times from the king of good times himself. Where were you Mr Mallya all along???....Way to go...
