On 15th me and my wife were traveling to Delhi from Bhubaneswar by Kingfisher Red Flight which was suppose to leave Bhubaneswar by 8 pm and reach Delhi by 10 pm. First the Kingfisher flight was delayed by around 2 hours so instead of leaving by 8 pm it left after 10. There was a call which informed us that the flight would leave by 8:55 pm. THIS WAY THE AIRLINE MADE SURE WE DON’T GET DINNER AFTER LANDING IN DELHI AS THE FLIGHT REACHED AT 12:30 AM AND BY THE TIME WE GOT OUT OF THE AIRPOST IT WAS 1 AM IN THE NIGHT.Second, the free complimentary food in the airline got over and for a very long time we watched our fellow passengers eat their dinner. After about 40 minutes the air hostess came and offered us some disgusting excuse for food which I am not sure was of extremely poor quality or stale. My point is if the airline staff had denied us a reasonable chance of finding food in Delhi by delaying the flight beyond 2 hours and getting us to our destination after 12:30 am instead of 10 pm then the least they could have done is ensure we get our complimentary meal in the aircraft. Mr. Mallya, I have taken it personally too. This is not alcohol and all the glamour and colour and pomp and show will never satisfy a hungry stomach.
