i have been using the kf red and class options from jabalpur as well as from nagpur/bangalore.
i see a lot of anguish in these pages about the kf efficiency and service quality.
well, folks, you are from civilisation - you folks are based at decent places in india - pune, bangalore, delhi.. etc. ask the guys who have spent a good part of thier life crawling up the gutter in places where there are only your two sore,smelly, and blistered feet to take you to places. last time i was in J& K it took me three days walking just to reach my bed. i have lived in places like kanpur, coonoor, kabul, angola, firozepur and other exotic destinations you can’t even dare to nightmare about. and trust me- the only sawari you got there was a ricketty bus, or a smelly steam engine from the dark ages, or if you were really lucky - an AC train compartment.
so guys, i see a whole new young generation that can’t handle the rough ride, that seems pained to give pain to thier bodies, and makes a martyr out of themselves for small inconveniences here and there.
have you ever travelled sleeping on your suitcases in front of a toilet in train without reservation? i bet not. have you ever had to walk miles to catch a bus to office - i bet not, and the argument coming - i can see - is that neither these people paid a fortune for reaching place a to b.
so fair enough, but i beseech people to see that we have emerged through hard times, and the habit of efficiency, flawless service will come with time.. be patient, give it a break - yo man!
to come to the point, i compare kf with IA, and KF comes out toppers. IA has never reached anywhere on time and thier aircraft are mostly non functional, and airhostesses fat, ugly and brutal. KF on the other hand has always delivered on time, and i found thier ground and air staff extremely courteous, helpful and efficient and i would recommend it over IA any time ( with due apologies to the youngsters who expect more). the babes though leave me doubting mallaya’s taste in women, since they are believed personally and i bet eagely selected by him.
