On 3rd February.09, I flew to Pune from Chennai by Paramount in the morning. As I have to return to Chennai on the same day, I could get only Kingfisher flight.After check-in and passing through
security, I waited patiently near the gate. Kingfisher announced my flight..... there was chaos and confusion as they announced their three flights...Chennai, Delhi and Bangalore to go to the same Gate! Somehow I (65years old diabetic!) manged to get out of gate ....but asked to wait outside the gate......by the time all the 3 flight passengers came out of the same gate and were confused which aircraft to board......parked quiet far from the gate. One gentleman(!) started calling passengers by their destinations and guiding to which aircraft to board. I walked all the way to the aircraft where at the entrance a hand written white sheet was hanging as ’Chennai’. When I reached the aircraft, we were all asked to wait as they were cleaning the aircraft. After 10 minutes of waiting we were allowed to board the aircraft. No air hostess to receive! I normally take the 1st row, so I got in comfortably and occupied my window seat. After sometime a young lady came with heavy hand baggage and was trying to load it inside cabin overhead. As the air hostess standing nearby was just watching and not taking any initiative to help her, I volunteered and loaded her hand baggage. The flight took off after 30 mts. As soon as the door was closed, mosquitoes started coming out from the bottom of the seats and flying all over the aircraft! After sometime a lousy looking air hostess came with no smile on her face but was showing a pathetic look offered sum snacks. I complaint about the mosquitoes and she didn’t bother and showing her face as if it is a common affair! I didn’t want to take a risk I returned the snack (though I was hungry) with thanks.
The flight landed 30 mts late. We were not allowed to disembark as there was some problem between the Pilot (A British) and ground control staff. We were watching the hot conversation between the pilot and ground staff. Seeing us all waiting the pilot, pull open the belt tied at the aircraft door and allowed us get out of the aircraft along with him.
I thanked God for making the trip safe. I have flown more than 400 times, but I have never seen a service like what I experienced with Kingfisher.....that too after enjoying comfortable flight in the morning by Paramount!
