Flew Bangalore-Bombay last weekend, and as a girl, I’d like to tell you the flight s-u-c-k-e-d.
A.> Check-in: I had my window seat booked at the time of buying the ticket 2 weeks prior to the actual flight. On the day of checking in, I’m told all window and aisle seats have been taken. Then I’m given the middle seat. I board and find myself sandwiched between two sweaty men in suits. Why would I pay any airline to feel like I’m on a bus to Kerala?
B.> The airhostesses are really rude, bordering on sexist. No smiles for women, just the men. I wasn’t even offered tea or coffee, the woman just walked past till I actually called out and held my cup up. This, after she wakes up my male co-passenger to offer him tea. Funny.
C.> The leg space is pathetic, compared to Jet or IC. And God help you if you’re still eating when your co-passenger in front of you decides to recline without asking if you’re done. (I’m not a slow eater, just to clarify.)
KF is too sexed up for its own good. It can keep up its current image if it wants to have a flight full of only male passengers. Maybe that’s what they’re trying....maybe the rumours of the ’extra services’ the hostesses provide in First class aren’t just rumours...
Rest assured, I’m never flying KF again.
