hhmmm...the heading ought to say it all...however i guess i got to give a certain justification for it...

i went and saw kingkong on the last day of 2005 ... had my friend along ... bought some popcorn..of course... u cant have thali meals...whateva.

The movie...

I guess i was expecting a lot from the movie...may be because of all the hype... but it did not live up to my expectations...there is this aspiring actress... and this aspiring director... all set in america..(of course...)...during the great depression...i loved the costumes as well as the movie set... quite something...but a sense of impatience to meet the great beast is always pushing u on...so u get a bit edgy... and eat more popcorn of course...

but then it moves on... u reach the island... now...the voyage itself aint worth mentioning... a mix of titanic and jurassic park expectation...ok u reach the isalnd..meets these awesome hospitable islanders... who kinda like u so much that they eat u for break fast and hang ur bones for memory...but the reception kinda grabs u...

okay if i go on like this i am never gonna finish... so in short... if u have seen the old one... the story line is ditto..except for additional creepy..crawlies and of course ... our own beloved T-rex.. but for whatever reason ... i beleive hollywood is overdoing the T-rex bit...next thing i am gonna see is a T rex fighting the Aliens...now that would be something....

Jackson is an awesome director..but he oughta find something original... the beauty played by Watts is really...A beauty... i was drooling on to my popcorn every time i saw that face...the beast... yeah he is kewl...all terror and a big heart... u reall gotta shed a tear for the poor guy in the end...yeah i guess ..this is the end..
