Pros:
Excellent smooth engine, ride comfort and feature packed
Cons:
Low ground clearance, low power on the tap

Hi, 3 weeks back I gifted myself and my family a black masterpiece - Kinetic Sym Flyte. Like many others I did a lot of research and came to conclusion that there are three vehicles worth considering -
Kinetic Sym Flyte and Honda Aviator. A test ride was sufficient to confirm two things - superior handling comfort on Flyte and good behaviour of Kinetic dealers (they were even ready to send the vehicle to my home for test ride).

First things first, talk about the ride comfort - excellent in Flyte. Good piece of shockers and a very smooth engine. Its Pro SUS suspentions and petrol tank on the bottom (leading to lower CG) offer Flyte a far superior handling and stability on road. I was really surprised to see it cross a rough patch of road full of pot holes at 60 kph without a complaint. Another hallmark - Engine noise is practically absent. Most of the times you need to really throttle the engine hard to hear the engine noise. And then the most practical feature - 22Ltrs storage space below the seat - great. It can take more than I believed it to take (even a 5Kg water melon with space for more groceries!!!). Another practical feature is LED light in the storage which lights up the compartment - enough light at night to be able to see inside it. Battery is quite powerful and offers start in just one shot. That is really helpful especially when you try starting it in early morning before the sun rise or after a heavy down pour. The seat is comfortable and can take two adults and a small kid easily and vehicle height ideal for everyone. Though I was initially skeptical that I will have trouble riding it due to my height (being 5’10"), I now find it comfortable. And add to it is the advantage that even my wife can comfortably ride it despite being 5’5". Front fueling is certainly useful, though I am not too much for avoiding to get off the seat to refuel and it has its pitfalls too. Magnetic Key lock and mobile charger are yet to find any favors with me. I am yet to find a real use of these features (for one  - Key lock whether open or closed, does not offer any resistance to a burglar who would just use another mechanical magnetic device or a similar key to open it and then I don’t own a car mobile charger so I cant charge my mobile on board)

The concern areas - low ground clearance. Try crossing a speed breaker or a raised drain even at 20kmph and you are sure to hit the bottom of your vehicle. Again since the petrol tank is at the bottom you have to be really careful (I don’t know the exact portion that brushes against the ground, but the thought that it is at the bottom and probably brushing against the road surface is scary). Another flip side is the engine power. Though it has 125cc engine developing 8bhp, it feels under powered especially when you need that surge to take on an auto in front of you bellowing the obnoxious fumes or a truck that is unwilling to give way. I think scooters are really not meant for such meaty roles. And then finally the fuel tank and fuel gouge. Though the manufacturer claims tank capacity as 5 Ltrs and the dealer claims it as 4.2Ltrs I think both are incorrect. At 3.8 Ltrs or probably lesser, the tank overflows. I think max capacity will be around 3.5 Ltrs which is far too low for a comfortable country side ride. I can however find comfort with the fact that petrol pumps are plenty in both the city and the country side. Fuel gouge incorrectly only shows the fuel in the main tank which is max 2 ltrs capacity.

Having said it all, I feel, I got the best product for my family - comfortable, easy to handle and sheer pleasure to ride. And above all at INR 43250 with all accecories it is 4k lower than Aviator and 8K lower than Aviator with disk breaks (I don’t get this hoopla on disk breaks. The drum on my Flyte are just as efficient stopping the vehicle in about a meter distance even at high speeds of 60+). I advise all to check this one before you buy.

I will write back after the first service. Till then let me enjoy my flyte to fantasy...
