KV are better than other schools there are many kendriya Vidyalaya's not all school are better as many of them are not up to mark as they are in most interior parts of country there may be lack of infrastructure and good teachers but most of them are far better than public schools. Teachers of KV's are highly qualified.
Some of the advantages of being a KVian are-
Low fees-The fees charged is quite low if we compare it to private schools .Additionally, girl students get some redemption in fees.
The Quality of teachers/course-The most important aspect of a school. Since CBSE syllabus is followed here course material is of good quality. Similarly, teachers are qualified and inspections are carried out regularly to check standards of the school.
Cultural diversity- This is a unique aspect of KVs.Unity in diversity is what KVs believe in. Since defense jobs involve transfers, you will find students from different state and economic background. Many different festivals are celebrated in KVs.
Sports/Scout and Guide meets/Camps/Cultural competitions- Another perk of being a KVian is you get to go to different KVs sometimes located in different states for Sports/Scout and Guide meets/Camps/Cultural competitions.
Infrastructure- Infrastructure is average and manageable. Surely, This KVs will not provide you with swimming pools, shooting ranges etc. like private schools.
