Story: Rayudu(Pawan Kalyan) is the eldest of the four brothers(Ajay, Siva Balaji, Kamal and Chaitanya Kamaraju) and is a powerful man who lives happily in the village. He wants to remain a bachelor and also doesn’t allow his brothers to get married. However he is caring his brothers very much and that is why his brothers could not speak against him. All his brothers who love to each other, make a plan to make his brother fall in love of a girl . With the plan, they search a girl and meet Avanti(Shruti Hassan), she does not know that Rayudu is an action king of Village. When things seem to be going fine, Avanti takes Rayudu to her family. Her father(Nassar) who hates non-violence, is suddenly targeted by Bhanu(Tarun Arora). The entire family got shocked when Rayudu takes an action avatar. Who is Banu? How does Rayudu save her family and get married to her? To get these answers, one should watch the movie on silver screen.

Performance: Once again Power Star Pawan Kalyan steals the show with his terrific performance. He looks stunning in new avatar. The comedy and sentiments in the movie, portrayed by Pawan needs applause. He perfectly suits as elder bother character and carries the entire movie on his shoulder. He slips into the shoes of a rural character with ease and confidence. His body languages, way of dialogue delivery, actions win the heart of audiences. Shruti Haasan as Avanti looks very hot. Siva Balaji, Kamal Kamaraju, Ajay and Krishna Chaitanya in the role of Pawan’s brother justify with their roles. Rao Ramesh and Tarun Arora performed well in the role of villain. Ali and 30 years Prudhvi’s comedy give much laugh.
Analysis: Katamarayudu is a mass movie, targeted to Pawan’s fans and provides sufficient entertainment. Though it is remake but Pawan did not make the audiences feel like a remake. There is a lot of good and interesting stuff that appeal the audiences. All the elements in the movie make it watchable despite routine story line. The first half is superb and the problem lies in the second half where there are less entertainment and more action. On the whole Katamarayudu is an enjoyable fun ride.
