Pavan Kalyan's Katamarayudu is a remake of a Tamil Hit Movie " Veeram" which was already dubbed in Telugu earlier with the title "Veerudokkade". Even though it was old script, this movie created a huge hype and expectations worldwide. As this movie was released after a huge flop of Sardar Gabbar Singh, it created a massive buzz all over.
Pavan Kalyan showcased two shades in his charecter, as a violent village leader and lovable person of villagers. He follows violence to solve various distputes. First half was quit good with Ali's comedy and all other supporting roles did quit well. Songs were not catchy and especially Heroine(shruthi) appearance was the drawback of the movie.
Second half was lengthy and Fights composed by Ram-Lakshman were good but too many fights. Cinematography by Prasad Murella was good. A mass hero entertainer should have been much better music, catchy songs and glamorous Heroine. Last but not the least second half could have been much better.
The Director Kishore has succeded in rich taking style and bringing the best of Pavan Kalyan. The huge attraction of the movie is Pavan Kalyan with his Traditional Look.
