Kasoor = Fault or Mistake.

This movie is a product of Vikram Bhatt, who has made a movie almost after two n half years after his last movie Ghulam.

This film revolves around Shekar
(Aftab Shivdasani) who is a journalist. It begins with murder of Shekar’s wife Preeti and the blame comes on Shekar and he is put behind the bars by a Police Officer Lokhande (Asutosh Rana).

Police department feels that the murder has been committed by Shekar to take over the property of Preeti. Shekar pleads guilty and his advocate arranges to bail him out and plans to take the services of a Criminal Lawyer Simran (Lisa Ray) who has stopped handling criminal case as she had fought a Criminal case as Public Prosecutor and had obtained life imprisonment for a criminal and later on she comes to know that the person implicated in the case is innocent and the police officer had fabricated the case against him.

So after this case she leaves up fighting criminal cases and instead starts handling corporate cases. When Shekar comes to know that she has stopped fighting criminal cases because of Inspector Lokhande he decides to take her services. Initially Simran refuses to handle the case but our hero by his way of talk impresses her and persuades her to take the case.

During the course of the case both of the them falls in love and when the case comes to the court for hearing Inspector brings in a witness who claims to have loved Shekar. Hearing this our Advocate gets upset and decides to stay away from him and also decides to drop the case. But her assistant who also loves her silently persuades her to continue and she continues the case and wins the case for Shekar.

Even after the hearing the inspector is very much confident that Shekar has only committed the murder and has diverted the attention of the lawyer by sending anonymous letter to the advocate which states ’’he is innocent’’.

What happens after this, whether Shekar is innocent or has he only committed the murder, if he is innocent then who has committed the murder answers to all these questions can be seen in Kasoor.

Mr. Bhatt being inspired by foreign movie is okay but please do not lift the story itself. Kasoor is a direct lift of Jagged Edges and the climax is nothing but a carbon copy of What Lies Beneath. Mr. Bhatt please do not take the viewers for such a ride please.

Performance wise apart from Asutosh Rana none of the other cast is worth watching. Aftab improve your skills. Lisa it is better if you stick to modelling instead of trying out movies.
