Place : Kashid Beach, Near Mumbai.
Location : From Panvel, catch the Goa Road till Vadkal Naka. Don’t take left, it goes to Goa. You have to go straight, towards Alibaug. Cross Alibaug, and drive for 30 mins or so, you will find KASHID.
Distance : 150 kms from Mumbai.
Duration : If you leave Mumbai by 6 am, 3hrs else 4 hrs.
Best time to visit : During June-Mar
Why Kashid : White Sand Beach, a very quiet place, most of the networks don’t work, and believe me the trip won’t cost  you much.
Nearby  places : Murud Janjeera, Alibaug.

Don’t expect too much from the hotel. These hotels are actually a set of 4-8 rooms, with a small garden, with no power back-up facility.(you actually won’t need them). Carry your own towels, soaps, mosquito coils, extra trunks, dry snacks.

The ideal way to plan your trip could be like this. You reach the hotel by 10am. Go straight to the beach, enjoy it, take some rest in the Hammoks, enjoy tea, Onion Bhajia, Coconut Water, etc.. come to the hotel have lunch and relax till 5 pm. Go to the beach and enjoy till the sun set. You can stay max 30 mins post the sunset as the place in not lit-up. Go to the hotel have dinner in the garden and enjoy the clear sky.

Leave by 8 am to visit Murud Janjira fort. It is 25 kms and takes 30 mins. To visit the fort you have to use boats which are available in every 20 mins. There is nothing inside the fort. but the fort itself is everything....and that is you have to use the boat.....oh yes!!! a fort on an island and the size of the island is the size of the fort.
Search for Patil Dhaba in the Murud market...enjoy Veg thali @ Rs. 50 and Non Veg Thali @ Rs. 70.
Even this dhaba is photogenic as like the entire place. Do visit this dhaba.
3-4 pm you may return.
