Hmmmmmmm? Kareena Kapoor ? I don?t think this is quite a difficult topic because even a small kid is really aware of her reputation in the Bollywood, being the sister of the most popular Bollywood actress Karishma Kapoor. Although Karishma didn?t perform considerably well during her initial years of entry into the Bollywood, we could accept the fact that subsequently she did improvise her acting and achieved a pretty comfortable place among her other competents.

Well, about ’’Kareena Kapoor’’ ? Kareena Kapoor was born in the year 1980 (???) for the most popular couple Randhir Kapoor & Babita Kapoor and was introduced into the Bollywood Field by her first appearance in the movie ?Refugee? wherein she co-starred with Abhishek Bachan. I think (if my memory is not wrong) this movie was released in the year 2000 and was quite successful. But the success I don?t think was due to her appearance in any way, she had just been a doll directed by keying & there was nothing very noticeable about her presence in the movie.
 
Actually, the fact remained that people were mostly disappointed to see Karishma Kapoor?s sister performing in such a bad shape. The problem was also that, she was welcomed by the cine-fans with lot of expectations and that had obviously created a disappointed in them by her first performance.

Slowing popularizing & extensively publicized with too many rumours, and also having grand-parents with great reputations and equally famous parents, she did get lot of other bollywood chances one by one??. !!!!! Her Ajnabi with Bobby Deol (the very next year) was just a Hit and overall obtained 50% reception. Also the same year, Kareena acted with the Great Shahrukh Khan in Asoka which was nothing but a howler!!! U need to have great patience to watch such a wearisome movie.

What was next for Kareena????? Yeah, here it is? how can the Bollywood Fans so soon forget the popularity of ?Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai? starred by Kareena & Tushaar Kapoor ? it was unquestionably a ?Super-Dooper Hit?. I think in the year 2001, Kareena acted on more number of movies and customarily more with Hrithik Roshan & a few such stuff were Yaadein, Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gam & Mujhse Dosti Karoge (all are with the Hot-Hrithik). Although Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gam was a Super Hit of the year, Kareena?s subsequent movie ?Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon? with Hrithik was a total Flop with very weak screenplay, storyline and characterizations.

Kareena?s Kushi with Fardeen Khan was just considered OK, but didn?t get much of a reception from the audience. Her most recent movie had been Chameli with Rahul Bose (Haiyooo!!) last year. Although there were quite a few more movies of Kareena which got released and obtained some reception, I didn?t get to watch them due to my busy schedule. Her current hottest expectation is her signing up for Manirathnam ? which is going to be a performance with Vivek Oberoi & Ajay Devgan.

Having been quite popular, though she didn?t have much of charms, she was offered so many opportunities in the Bollywood and when compared with her initial movies, it certainly is a fact that we do find some maturity in her acting of late.

I personally suppose that Kareena although doesn?t have those charismatic manifestation really required in a Bollywood Actress, she does possess tolerably good features and is highly ambitious. But the practicality remains that she is beyond any comparisons with real beauties like Sridevi, Meenakshi Seshadri, Jeyapradha, Juhi Chawla, Madhuri Dixit, Simran, Kushboo etc???? I think, practically speaking, the South Indian actresses like Savithri, Lakshmi, Sneha, Jyothika etc. had accomplished their exclusive distinct positions only by their hard work more than their looks. That way, also since Kareena has already got a popularity due to her inheritance, she would certainly be able to make it up to the highest recognition by her acting skills too, if she desires so.

I wish Kareena a very happy & prosperous New year 2005 and hope she signs up more and more prestigious projects this year. I also wish her the best of luck in the years to come!!!! Instead of just jagging her for her negativeness, let us give her some more time for her to pick up in her field & probably then comment on her.
