I have visited Kanya kumari twice.This place attracts time and again by its natural scene and sight for seeing.The temple of Godess Kanya kumari is very living statue of Devi in this place. The market is availble for purchasing the things which you want.
The Viveka Nand Rock in the sea is very natural and a thing which can't be seen in any where in India. The travelling by ship in the very high current is herror but joyful. This city is situated on the bank of all three sea Hind Mahasagar , Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. Due to this sangam sun set in seen only in this Kanya Kumari, although sun rise is seen in several sea shore. This city is situated in the bottom point of the country.
So if one can plan to visit south India must plan for Kanya Kumari too.
