We took our 1 and half year son to this child trust hospital last week early morning for breathing problem. My son had severe cold and flump formed in chest due to that. He was also having severe nose block and I heard him snoring a day before. On the day of heavy breathing (we thought it was wheezing), we went to this hospital early morning and took to emergency care center there.

He was diagnosed with x-ray and duty doctor early morning recommended asthalin with oxygen mask to him since he was breathing so fast. My son slept silently with mask and whenever he wakes up, he cried and wanted to avoid mask. Each time when he cried, he started breathing little faster and on seeing this doctor said

he need to be admitted to hospital and gave us a long list of prescription to buy from their in house pharmacy.

Now this 1-1/2 year child was advised to have saline trips immediately. We could not understand why this was. The child was active, healthy and had good dinner the night before and he was not tired at all, resisting with hands for masks given to him. We could not understand why he was asked to give saline trips.

My son screamed when his nerves are punctured for having saline plugs in his hand. Also blood was taken out thru injection from his wrist for doing a blood test. It dawned and still my son had no improvement in his condition. We felt all those apprentice just passed out doctors are not at all knowledgeable to give treatment and so we decide to take him to his regular pediatrician who treats him. All these time, my son was not given any treatment except for asthalin mask. Not even any injection or tablet to make him breathe little slower.

We took my son to this child trust hospital only because it was night and no other hospital would be open at that time. The doctors were reluctant to discharge my son and threatened saying he is not normal, his oxygen level in blood is too low, you are risking his life and needs to be admitted atleast a week there with o2 mask with him.

They delayed his discharge saying blood test report will come late. I said its ok I will collect it later and got my son discharged. For this 5 hour admittance to this hospital, I was charged around 3000 rs including medicines, xray and blood test. My son became normal as soon as we left the hospital and was playing in car on the way to

other nursing home. On seeing his condition, his regular doctor said its just normal cold and usual chest flump that could be treated with syrups. He gave a injection shot and advice to take same injection for 3 days as out patient and sent us home. He also prescribed 2 syrups to be taken and that's all. We returned home and within hours of that injection my son was breathing normal.

Now in 2 days he was completely recovered and even symptoms of cold has reduced. We all have decided at any cost we should not go to this hospital for any kind of treatments. We can't imagine our son admitted for a week in that child trust hospital with masks which he fears about.

Now in our apartment, we heard another story of another child who was taken to same hospital and treated there for 15 days and they said this hospital has to be sued for having incompetent doctors. My advice too would be don't even go for this hospital in emergency cases and just in case if they ask you to admit your child don't go for this. There are lots and lots of better hospitals where you can admit.
