KALYUG



Once again Mahesh Bhatt has shown his extra-ordinary talent in the film industry. The movies will come and go but the subject of the Mahesh Bhatt’s movie keeps on changing. He knows what he has to make in order to show something different and real. People may consider this as an average movie but for making right statements one should better know its purpose and story. By introducing three new stars (Smily Suri, Deepal Shaw and Kunal Khemu), director of this movie gets 4 stars out of 5 from my side. I left the one because I didn’t like Smily suri performance.

The Plot


The word “Kalyug” means “Hell”.
Kunal- A youngster who came to Mumbai with his father for starting a new life. They were treating as fugitives in their own state. After few days his father expires and from there the situation gets worse. Kunal starts his life in a challenging and invigorated way. He works all day and night and considers himself as among those who don’t deserve any happiness in their lives. He always thinks why bad thing happens to him? One day he met Renuka (A simple, charming and innocent person) who came to Mumbai for meeting Kunal’s father. Kunal told her about his dad and took her responsibility. They both live together for seven days and falls in love. They got married and the worst part of Kunal’s life begins. Police arrests both of them in charge of making blue CD’s. Kunal gets shocked when he sees his own blue film. His wife commits suicide due to disappointment and harassment. He requests his lawyer to get him out of the jail so that he’ll be able to punish the criminals. He reached Zurich, and there he met Alibhai. Ali is an owner of sex-shop in Amsterdam who sells dummy-dolls of Indian girl’s. Ali provides him addresses of those members who are associated with Indiapassionup.com. Kunal meets Annie and tried to kill her. She confesses everything true and helps him in finding out the real criminals. In the last Kunal ends up in meeting Simi Roy. Simi Roy is an owner of indianpassion.com and she want to make this site at number position. If you really want to know what happens next….please watch the movie yourself.

#) By Simi to Kunal “Yeh kalyug hai yahan ek ka dard dusre ka tamasha hai”.

#) Kunal says these dialogues after fighting with rogues. “Us din maine sikh liya tha agar andhere se bahar aana hai toh apne aap hi roshni ka diya jalana hoga”.

#) By Kunal to Ali “Waah dost kitne main Emaan becha tune”.

PERFORMANCES


Kunal Khemu- He acted so well that I don’t have any negative point in regard to him. Since childhood he has been acting in movies and everyone loves to see his child artist appearances. He was highly devoted towards his acting skills. His new hair-style, physique and dressing sense was suiting the best on him.


Emraan Hashmi- As usual he was looking cute and sweet. His facial expressions are really good. He has done some good movies but still he never over-reacts. Everybody will recognize him in a new role apart from the role of “Smoochie-pie”. His role was too short but still he did it well.


Ashutosh Rana- What we can expect from him. He acted as a broker who supplies girl’s from India to Switzerland for earning livelihood. His performance was wonderful and fascinating.


Amrita Singh- As far as her looks and acting skills are considered she was up to the expectations. Her performance was superb and earlier I was thinking that she might come in defending kunal.



My Views

I would say that what has been shown in this movie is happening in real life too. Sometimes, we always make wrong statements by knowing the half part of the story. It is essential to know about the whole story first before making the final justifications. Mahesh Bhatt has given several messages through this movie, but only few people will recognize it. Till what extent things are happening around, we need to know them. The message of this movie was good and meaningful too. I must say that sometimes we don’t consider others life situation and react so frequently in an aggressive manner.
