If you LOVE SRK this is for you and I m sure you were waiting for it like I was.
I was a little disappointed, though, and after sitting and trying to analyse why I felt disappointed, I realised
that it was the setting of NYC which I did not like. I didnt like seeing SRK in those ugly baggy pants, looking like just everybody else, every dumb teenager here in US. I like his SRK-ness, not his NYC-ness. So ...I was sort of disappointed. The music was alright...PRETTY WOMAN is an outright copy of the original PRETTY WOMAN by Roy Orbison. I didnt like it when I was a kid in the 60s and dont like it now either , LOL. But I have to say that making it into a bhangra type thing made it a lot more tolerable.
Kajol, Rani and Udays surprise show-ups made it lots of fun and they put those cameos in right before.........well I will not spoil it for you. But do bring your usual box of kleenex. I wish I had brought mine. I had tears streaming down my face practically through the whole thing. I noticed a lot of other ppl sniffling through it too!
Plot is not an original...but who cares? Nobody sees bollywood films for an original plot. They go because these usually make you FEEL GREAT. I love them.
For a detailed review, see what mouthshutdotcom has to say..he has done a very detailed review. I only wanted to say that I was a bit disappointed. Chalte Chalte was depressing, this was OK...but I want to see a good old fashioned SRK movie again like Pardes or DDLJ. Guess I am REALLY GETTING OLD:)
