I am a frequent traveler in KSRTC, me and my brother traveled from Bhadravathi to Bangalore on 02.10.2016, we boarded the bus around 2:25 PM and we asked the conductor the fare and he said it would be 1035 for both of us and when he gave the ticket, the ticket had Rs 1040 printed and to our surprise we saw rounded off amount Rs 5, which was really disappointing, we had exact change to give it to the conductor for Rs 1035, later he demanded we need to pay the printed amount including the rounded off amount of Rs 5.
KSRTC has no right to round off at your convenience as it is our hard earned money and I had tendered exact change.
I'm attaching the ticket, please have a check and refund Rs 5 which is taken in excess.
When enquired they said it their policy to round off.
