Funny look although not a spoof of British Secret Service MI-7 (This is NOT a spoof of James Bond Films). After Secret Agent One (Greg Wise) dies in a mission, bumbling and accident prone stupid secret agent Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) is appointed to safe guard the Crown Jewels. Eventually the crown jewels do get stolen by Frenchman Pascal Sauvage (John Malkovich) who is a heir to the crown of England and who wants to make England the world’s largest prison. Johnny English along with deputy Bough (Ben Miller) and Interpol Agent Lorna Campbell (Natalie Imbruglia) must capture Sauvage and save England from being ruined. Cliched story but with so many funny moments (Especially the graveyard scene) and so fast paced that you enjoy it and come out of the theatre with a smile. Nice performances by Rowan Atkinson and brilliant performance by John Malkovich (Excellent french accent). The Climax Scene in the royal palace is absolutely hilarious.

1) This is NOT a spoof of James Bond movies although writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade had earlier co-scripted James Bond Movies Die Another Day and The world is not enough.

2) The Character Of Johnny English and his assistant Bough is loosely based on a series of TV commercial done previously by Rowan Atkinson and Ben Miller.

3) Typical Rowan Atkinson Movie where The Queen of England is made fun at and so are the French. (Remember Black Adder and Mr. Bean??)

4) The Director’s previous movie was intense drama Anti Trust which was based on Bill Gates and microsoft corporation.
