Hi. Although i would have liked writing a detailed review, but there are already 79 reviews. Besides its a history subject and most of people like to sleep during there History classes during school days and so I wont want to put detail.

I wrote this poem an year ago, when I was reading History. I think its someway matching to the thoughts of Jodha in this movie, So I am pasting it here.

The days ahead

 One day came this conqueror;
 he was also the emperor,

He had more to take than to give

And my father had to live.

He wasn’t young nor was he handsome,

My father could have given him some ransom.

But I was a good daughter of my father,

and the kingdom of my dad

Fulfill his wishes was a duty I had,

I took this decision good or otherwise

Although no one had asked me once, forget twice,

Kings and rulers as they were,

Was a girl’s opinion for them to care?

I had fears, for this had never happened in years

But the only option I could exercise was to shed tears

Is this my father’s justice? Leaving his lovely princess

To a person to whom I will be less a wife more a mistress

I thought this is very bad and felt very sad,

Is this the destiny I had?

Then I heard some people say

Their words made my day

“She has saved us from fierce battles, saved so many lives,

Sent the soldiers back to their families and  wives”

Although there was no option better than this ,

I had to accompany to the harem of his.

I still feel proud of my act,

I have to suffer and that may be a fact.

I am happy I have saved so many heads go behead

I look forward hoping better days ahead

The decisions taken by Akbar in the movie show the political mindset of Akbar,

The character of Akbar as portrayed in this movie is a little different from the known "Mughal-E-Azam" movie, where we know him more.

The actors are well suited for the characters, although I am not sure about the controversies, the problem with such a cinema becoming hit is that
