In a short span of less than a decade Jet airways has established an unbeatable reputation in the Indian skies for efficiency and good service. (Who will forget their initial ’mislanding’ in a military aerodrome that made headlines). After the suffocating voyages in Public sector under takings like Indian Airlines, Vayudoot (Remember?), passengers were exposed to a fresh whiff of air from Jet Airways. They had placed SERVICE and PUNCTUALITY above everything else (that still is their motto even now). While most other private airlines set up during the same time have had inglorious exits, Jet Airways still is fighting fit and even offers stiff competition to Indian Airlines.
Take new and well maintained aircraft ... Add a bunch of young and energetic ground staff and air-crew to perform jobs enthusiastically ... Top it up with punctuality .. And you get a great recipe for success. That is what Jet Airways has done, though, not forgetting their bottomline. Their reputation and success has prompted even our ’’honourable’’ civil aviation minister to talk about privatising IA and AI. Friends, JA can certainly be preferred over other airlines.
