Overall a very good flight experience. We travelled the Newark-Brussels-Mubai sector. We were travelling with kids. 

The flight attendants were super helpful, efficient and friendly. The seating (economy) was more comfortable than singapore airlines.

The inseat entertainment screen was also bigger than  singapore airlines.

The meals served for adults was good especially if you like your food spicy. The kids meal was bad though, we ended up having to ask for regular meals for the kids too.

The main problem really is if you are taking a onward connection from mumbai to another destination in india -- mumbai airport is horrible - but Jet airways can’t really help there. The much hyped upgrades at Mumbai really have not helped improve that pathetic airport. The international arrivals was a zoo with really no passenger facilities.

Transfers to the domestic airport are really cumbersome especially if you have kids and luggage. Luckily Jet airways does help a bit there by transferring your checked in luggage directly to your onward connection.  Also the upgraded domestic airport is nothing great either.

The only reason I would not fly this route again is because of the connections via Mumbai.
