Jet Airways provides a reasonably good service in the domestic sector. Here again private airline Kingfisher is way ahead of them. Due to a fog in Bangalore, my Kingfisher flight to Chennai got delayed. The airline arranged to drop me back home in Bangalore and then arranged for another cab to pick me back from home! Such is the level of service.

However, I had the misfortune of flying Jet’s service from Delhi to London on back in Feb 07. The experience, I must say, is terrible. Jet international is a pale shadow of their domestic services. The staff are grumpy. Stewards walk by the aisle countless times, but never notice the call lights for service. passengers have to yell out to them to seek their attention. I had to ask five times to buy something from their inflight shopping. Despite that, nobody bothered to respond. When I got up and asked the crew, a guy told me the item I wanted to buy was "out of stock".

I was amazed at the instantaneous response. Clearly the guy was lying. There was another steward, who was actually rude! His face was boiling and he was edging passengers who were standing on the aisle during flight. No "excuse me" or anything like that, just push them and make way.

I would never take an international flight with Jet again. They made Air India crew look like gods!
