JET AIRWAYS Review

I was traveling back from Kolkata to New Delhi by an evening flight after attending a pretty stretched whole day technical meeting with a client with one of my colleagues. Both of us are JET privilege

members. I was a bit tired.
As I reached the Kolkata air port and showed my ticket at the check-in counter. They informed me that there is no such person of my name traveling on 20:50 flight. I was surprised coz I was holding a valid ticket of the same flight issued to me, by one of the JET’s agents which is regular agent of our office for all kind of air tickets.
Then I contacted Jet’s office at the airport and I was surprised to see their attitude, they were hardly attending to my humble requests of having a look at my ticket and explaining me the situation, instead they told me to go and wait at the airport lobby until the check in closes. They explained that the flight was full and if some passenger misses the flight they will issue me his/her seat!!!
After waiting for half an hour I went to the check in counter asked again, the girl gave me cold look and furiously told me to wait.

I decided not to take it any more and went back to Jet’s office asked, what happens if the plane goes full? They didn’t reply. Then I had to literally shout on the people to get the reply that in that case they will put me in the next flight at 22:45.One of them then took my ticket and put the numbers in the system and revealed that neither of the three Sr. no:, Name & PNR no: matches.

Then I asked him what was my fault? To choose JET! To my surprise he replied with very less words that this is your agent’s fault & you should not book your tickets thru agents instead you should do it thru Jet’s Website. The irony is, for the very same flight, just to see the schedule before booking my ticket I tried the website and the same ticket on the same flight was approx INR2500 costlier then the price I got the ticket at!!!

Had I have put the request to book the ticket from website I would have been in trouble for being interested in buying same ticket at a higher price than being offered by the office agent.

Well I cannot understand If JET cannot manage its authorized agents then why does it authorize them?
Also there is no system on the JET’s website to cross check PNR & name etc, under my knowledge.
Finally with God’s grace one of the passengers did not turn up and I flew back in same flight. The whole episode was a big harassment to both of us.
