Pros:
Punctuality and inflight ambience.
Cons:
Dirty seats and oily windows, sometimes!

Flew Jet Airways once again on 27 Sept.. (9W 515-Kolkata-Bangalore.) The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, VT-JGJ, with blended winglets, had refreshing interiors. The flight was delayed for about five
minutes after a passenger forgot to board the bus from the boarding area and had to be literally fished out by the Jet Airways ground crew after he failed to respond to repeated announcements. Yes, some forgetful Einsteins are that irritating for the 100 + pax in many flights in India! The flight crew were friendly and eager to help passengers stow their hand luggage. The breakfast was served 40 mins. into the flight and had a sumptuous non veg. menu. The scheduled time of arrival at Bangalore was 9.20 am and the aircraft arrived a couple of minutes early. The cockpit crew sounded friendly too and gave flight details which luckily could be heard by all. I say luckily because some Jet aircrafts have really poor audio quality in the cabin and one can only hear a buzz at best from the cockpit in some flights. There is however, one aspect that Jet needs to work on. Luggage delivery has surely taken a beating in the last couple of months with Jet. The first luggage; yes, literally the first and only piece of luggage was on the belt in Bangalore before the first pax, was around and there was no sight of any second baggage for the next 15 mins.

There is a request for air passengers travelling into Bangalore. Please do no jam the access to the luggage belts which are really short,  by pushing trolleys right up to the belt  and preventing other passsengers from even seeing whether their luggage is on the way. Your hands won’t fall off if you pick up your luggage and put them on a trolley placed a couple of metres behind. I heard one friend telling me after landing at BLR that some passengers need to repeatedly remind themselves and their ego as well as the onlookers that they are AIR passengers after all and habitually make the maximum possible use of the trolleys from the entry point to the departure. He further told me that some experience the thrill of a well massaged ego when they exit the airport, their trolley carrying their brief case with hundreds of onlookers at the arrival gate. True, indeed, it seems!

Not much today, friends. Looking forward to writing another review again! Festival greetings to all mouthshut members!
