Booked ticket on this for my Paris trip as there was no direct flight available from Kolkata. The ground crew members are quite helpful in Kolkata airport. At the counter they arranged for window seats seeing me as a solo traveler. Now the story starts after getting into the domestic flight towards Mumbai. The breakfast served was totally non-palatable. The upma smelled strongly of gamaxin, must be kept in the storage for too long. Couldn't take more than a spoon. The chopped fruit almost melted, that too was kept for too long. The only thing I could eat was a bun with butter and two bites from the rock-hard idli! The tea was watery too, but I didn't complain.at least getting something hot to drink at this early hour, that's enough for me. But the quality of food surprised me.Thought I would get something better in the international flight at least.


From Mumbai, my onward flight towards Paris was nowhere better. Serving murukku as a snack in an international flight was somehow strange. But serving spoiled dal for lunch? Sorry, this much I can't take. I tried to eat the rice and chicken curry, but soon had to stop as I found something very hard(something like a stone, not chicken bone, cause it was boneless) which almost broke my teeth.My stomach was grumbling, but other than the packaged yogurt, couldn't eat anything else. The potato chat with sev which was served as appetizer was a complete waste.The cake served as dessert was also bad.The guy next to me also was in same boat, he took few bites, made a face and returned the tray as it was!


I had to wait for a long time to grab my next meal, it was a journey for 9:30 hours.so I also returned the tray, mostly untouched and had a chocolate from my bag. I tried to sleep then, but couldn't(I am not able to sleep if I am still hungry). Feeling irritated, I started watching movies back to back to keep myself distracted. This is something really good, as they have a good collection of in-flight entertainment.


The behavior of the cabin crew is, I should say, biased. They cared for some passengers who turned out to be some relatives of some Jet employees. For others, they had a biased opinion.They were treating an elderly lady and her sons quite roughly. The preferred ones were served food and other comforts like extra blanket before other passengers.well, may be these are jet privilege members, so nothing to do about that.but why should they get sarcastic while helping the common people like me? During the entire flight, only once I opted to go to the washroom.for that also I had to walk almost the half length of aircraft, when an unoccupied washroom was just near my seat? Due to this, I lost my evening snack as well.It didn't even take 5 min for me inside, how come by then everything got over?I didn't have any energy left to argue with anyone. I could not eat or sleep the previous night.I had to start at 2:30am to catch this flight!


After the aircraft touched the ground at Charles De Gaulle, I was relieved that the torture is finally over and I can grab a sandwich soon. But something more was waiting for me. When my luggage came, I discovered that my newly-bought American Tourister trolley bag has been damaged. Nasty scratches, the logo flew off, punching three nasty holes on the surface! God only knows how did that happen.the damaged luggage department also couldn't help much to point out the reason. By this time I was very much exhausted and decided to drop the case then and there. Starving, lack of sleep and exhaustion drove me mad, I felt like collapsing on the floor.


Never ever I will opt for Jet again.It was much better few years back, but now that quality is totally lost. Air France is much better, so is Qatar. My experience was ridiculous, don't want anybody else to suffer same way.
