Last month, I booked a flight with the Jet Airways from Delhi to Bangalore on the Boeing 737-800 aircraft. I check-into the airport to find that there were not adequate staff to handle the queue. Even the staff present seemed uninterested and had no idea where to guide the different queues. Since the queue was extremely long, some of the passengers including me were transferred to the international check-in queue. However, I had to check-in via domestic queue as the agents there did not listen to me.
The plane was almost full and it was quite cold inside the aircraft. However, none of the passengers were provided any blankets. The staff were attentive and they catered to the needs of the passengers with sincerity. The leg-space was cramped and I had to get up a few times to avoid my legs from going numb. The food was one of the biggest disappointments during the journey. The food was tasty, however, the quantity was woefully low. One of the main items in my plate was noodles! As dessert, I had to manage with a small Kit-Kat bar!
The in-flight entertainment was average at best. The touchscreen lagged a few times and even most of the screens were above the seats. That resulted in people in two seats having to watch the same content, as there were no separate screens in the seats. The flight itself, however, was smooth with no major turbulence.
Overall, the flying experience was good, however, the food and the in-flight entertainment were the biggest let-downs. Overall, I would give this airline 4 out of 10 points.
