After reading only bad reviews of Jay Vijay motors, I was quite skeptical when I did my first inquiry for Renault Duster from Jay Vijay motors. I still gave it a try as I was enquiring it over phone. The Sales person( Sonali) who took the call was very courteous and quite patiently answered all my queries.
Due to festive season there were some offers that were going on and hence I asked for the best possible offer on the vehicle. She took my number mentioning that she would come back to me with details. Meanwhile my talks were already on with Roharsh motors (my first preference).
I duly got a call from the sales person with their quoted price. As it turned out, the quoted price was slightly better than the one quoted by Roharsh motors. I still would have gone with Roharsh but then there were lots of follow up call from the sales person of Jay Vijay motors that tilted my decision in their favour.
It does make a difference when someone is really interested in selling you something and that too at a better price! I thought of taking the risk with Jay Vijay motors( despite bad reviews). Through out the time of booking, test drive and other formalities, I found the staff very courteous.
During the time of booking, I was given a timeline of 45 days for the final delivery. 2.5 weeks prior to the delivery of the vehicle, I got a call from their Senior sales person asking for a full payment. The reason given to me was the increase in the prices of the vehicle in a week's time.
I didn't mind making the full payment since delivery was hardly 2 weeks away (they normally ask for full payment 6 days before the delivery). Also the fact that my vehicle was already ready for dispatch from the factory. Now comes the rude shock!
A week and a half before the delivery timeline, I was conveyed that my vehicle would get delayed and they won't be able to meet their earlier committed timeline. Apparently the vehicle was still not ready in the factory and the delivery was pushed by 2 more weeks. I was quite annoyed and registered a complaint with Renault.
To my surprise, I was told that company provides a timeline of 3 months for the delivery. However, I got the complaint number and a promise that the matter would be looked into. The complaint was passed to Jay Vijay motors and their customer care person called me up to sort out the matter.
Later a meeting was held with their Senior manager to compensate for the lost time. Even though I missed the delivery of the vehicle on an auspicious occasion, I was content with the fact that I got some free accessories from their side. From there on till the delivery of the vehicle was a smooth ride.
Despite minor issues that I faced, I would still recommend Jay Vijay motors to the prospective buyers. You might end up getting a better deal from them, as happened in my case!
