Since I had already appeared for GMAT in 2015 securing a 640, which I was satisfied with, I was in search of a guidance to bridge that gap to 700+ score. I know everybody would have heard this, but I would say it again, GMAT is much more than just studying and testing of your knowledge. It tests your performance under increasing level of pressure and stress. I joined Jamboree Pimple Saudagar. Rohit Ghosh is the most amazing teacher and motivational person you need to propel that fire of pursuing an MBA. His tone and code of conduct during the classes gives you the feeling that you are almost in a B school.

Coming to the testing part, GMAT is all about time & stress management. The knowledge can be gathered in the first two to three months, but the remaining three to four months one needs to prepare to handle the nerves during the actual GMAT. For me I started my preparation on March 2017 and appeared for the exam on October 1st, 2017. My split was Q 49 V 40.

The MBA application process - honestly a very open, sometimes vague, and soul-searching process. After appearing for my GMAT and securing a satisfactory score, I thought now I can relax a bit. But, the reality was opposite. I understood that this phase is even more challenging since there is no fixed process that you need to go through.

Again, Rohit sir to the rescue. He really has given me the right guidance along this whole process. Disclaimer: People don't think that you have nothing to do once you have taken Jamboree's counselling package. On the contrary, it is only you who needs to do the maximum work, introspection on what you have done until this day in life. Basically, for once you need to become the audience, instead of the actor, of the show of your life thus far and summarize the story. Jamboree and Rohit sir’s guidance were key for me.

Now, coming to the most challenging and most important part of the process, interviews. Trust me, MBA admission interviews are something most of us from India have not gone through and if we are entering the MBA world this is just the tip of the iceberg. Everybody needs to be accustomed to it and keep on learning from the previous interview experience. Often, we tend to sit back and think about what we learnt and how to not repeat the same thing again.

Now for some statistics, I applied to 7 colleges(6 in the US and 1 in India). Out of which, I was rejected by 1(after interview), waitlisted by 2(1 after interview, 1 without interview), admitted by 1 and pending an interview call from 3. So, through all this Rohit sir helped me in coaching and identify what went wrong and right in every interview.

My verdict: Jamboree is an amazing place for starting your journey to enter an MBA class, be it prepping for GMAT or ensuring you seal the deal with the college. Rohit sir is the best coach and mentor to have for this whole process.
