Since we were a group of 10, and most of us are foodies, we ended up ordering a lot of starters(chutney meen varuval, mutton sukka, chicken chinthamani, meen karandi, meen bajji, chicken karandi, mutton yeravaal varuval, and nei kozhi varuval). I was amazed as to how the chef kept serving awesome dishes one after the another, although I was a bit disappointed by the Meen Karandi which tasted more like an omlette as flavour of fish was very mild and fish bhaaji was a bit oily.
Apart from these two, all the starters were just brilliant. We ordered all three rasams and I tasted all of them, and again loved the flavours especially Nenjelumbu Rasam. Then we ordered the Jawahar Jaloor Parotta(chicken and mutton) which I found a bit average but not bad at all. The pot biryanis(Mannpaanai mutton and chicken biryani) were again really good and are actually cooked in the earthen pots. Finally it was time for desserts, we ordered Elaneer payasam, elaneer halwa and mettukudi pudding.
Elaneer payasam was more of tender coconut and coconut water mixed with sweetened milk but Elaneer Halwa was something to die for. Pudding was amazing as well.
