I bought this book at Howrah station,as a travel reading. I do not know when my destination reached, this bok is one of the best short story bok I have read recently,the stories are based on Indian Americans and written in a very very lucid manner.reader can feel the character described and I felt the joy and the sorrow of the people described, Jhumpa Lahiri is definitely going be in the league of great story teller of the millenium.
The stories basically revolve around the characters and Jhumpa can describe the human feelings in few words, all the nine stories are excellent and I liked ’’When Mr Pirzada came to dine’’ most but one may differ with me since all stories are of very high class.
