When I picked up this book, I couldn’t stop reading... Amy Tan apparently felt the same way because it’s printed so on the cover... :) This book is definitely a non-stop read... story 1 (A temporary
matter) would HAVE to be my favorite.

Lahiri captures emotions very well through her words. A lot of people find the writing to be very simple...but not everything has to be intricate Arundhati Roy literature, right?

A great start for Lahiri. But for some reason I couldn’t get into the stories about the older generation...perhaps they needed to be told from a different voice?
