We have just bought a new digital camera at work (new toy, yippee!) and being good at spending money I was put in charge of the purchase. After going through all of the price comparison websites I found
internetcamerasdirect.co.uk. Although they weren’t the cheapest but the prices are still very good. What made me get the camera from this site were the special offers, technical information and variety of products available. I sort of knew that I wanted a Fuji camera so didn’t bother looking through the rest. They had a huge number of Fuji digital cameras though, a lot more than any other site I’d looked at. Once I’d chosen the camera with the help of their extensive technical information written in language that you can understand and not all in numbers, dot, and dashes, they had a number of different packages to chose from. You can just buy the standard camera on it’s own. Different package includes ones with extra memory smart cards, rechargeable batteries, cases etc. etc. With the camera they provide 50mb of webspace to store your photos on, I haven’t looked at this yet but there is a code to access it so I guess that nobody can look at your photos without the code. Delivery was free for our order, I think you have to order over £50 worth to get postage free. Delivery was within two days. The website itself was quite fast and it was easy to find your way around. There weren’t loads of adverts clogging up the space either.
There are customer and magazine reviews on the site for each different camera so that you can see what other people think before you buy it. Even though this site is not the cheapest I would still recommend it. The camera we bought was only £20 more on this site, when you are spending £250 this isn’t so bad and as carriage was free it kept the price down a bit. Definitely worth a look at even if you are just researching which camera to buy.
