Ever had an experience where a same ticket is being issued to multiple people. I had this ’innovative’ experience yesterday.

I went to see spiderman 2. Had booked the tickets in the morning itself for the 10 PM show. We got Screen 2- c6 and c7. Went there in time, got seated and the show started. To my surprise the hall was quite empty. May be because 10 o’ clock show has less takers as this is situated quite outside the city(for many bangloreans). But since we stay nearby, and comes back late from office we always prefer this show.

After some 15-20 minutes a group of 6 yougsters came. Once of them asked if if I am sitting on C6. I said yes. He went off and after sometime came with a theatre assistant. He came sat near me and asked me to show the ticket. I showed him and he verified it. I am sitting in the correct place.

But to my surprise he told me ’’sir, thaat corner 2 seats are vacant, please shift there!!’’.

I asked him ’’ why? am I not sitting in the correct seat?’’ he said yes, but sir please shift there.

By this time I got really pissed. Why should I shift to some empty seat If I am sitting in the correct place?

I firmly told him ’’No, we won’t shift to anywhere’’ Then this guy went to another couple who were sitting after us and pleaded the same. He got wild and refused. ( by this time we missed almost 15-20 minutes of the show)

In fact the same seat numbers were allotted to those guys who came also. His ticket also says screen 2- C6 and C7!!! Later those two guys were seated somewhere else on some empty chairs.

I must admit that those guys were very patient, i can never imagine myself reacting in a similar way in that situation. I would have created a scene there or would have taken them to court.

Being such a big establishment they don’t even have a system to prevent such silly things. Not only that the ticket rate is highest here compared to any other theater in bangalore (silver class :100/- and Gold class 120/-). Even small theaters don’t do this.

Generally, we bangalorens are a patient lot. So we get such lousy services even if we pay the most for it.

I have one advice to all of you who are planning to go here.

Please make sure your ticket no. correctly written. Go there in time, otherwise you might have to fight with someone else who is also having your same seat no!!
