INNOVATIVE FILM CITY :BIG & BEAUTIFUL .

Last sunday all of a sudden, we decided to visit Innovative film city (IFC).The biggest entertainment centre, theme park and what not, the Innovative Film City. Located between Mysore road and Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC),

The "Innovative Film City" , built on 58-acre plot in Bidadi Industrial Area. According to Innovative Studios Chief Executive Officer Sharavan Prasad.Film City will have 25 mega attractions, including a film studio, a film institute, mock sets, and a 21screen multiplex theatre,I T Parks, the country's largest amphitheatre that can accommodate 15,000 people, and amusement facilities such as Jurassic park, funplex, go karting, aqua kingdom and snow land for children.

Film City will function as an independent production house and undertake large and small screen films of various genres and language. Formally launched during the "Special delegates' meet" were the project components on Ripley's Believe it Or Not, Guinness World Records, Louis Tussad's Wax Museum, the Innovative Film Academy and tie-ups between Innovative Film City and Trade and Investment, Queensland Government. For the Film Academy, an agreement was announced with the Australian Griffiths and Bond Universities.

This is in  all about IFC.Let me drop few interesting places to watch & enjoy in IFC.Hope it will be useful for the first time visitors.

The entrance is amazing. Once we entered we were received by the Customer Representatives and they explained us about the attractions and the rate applicable. We could either pay Rs.50 as entrance fees and pay for every thing inside individually or pay Rs. 699 (VIP ticket  / Complete Package). This is definitely worth it. There are camera charges too...Rs.100/-  for still camera and little more 200 for video cams..

Soon after entering IFC we had a beautiful  view of the colonial buildings with Greco Roman architecture and the statues.  The shopping plaza is yet to start and there were only a few stalls like Bata, Coffee day and some apparels shop. Nearly 70% of the attractions have opened so far. The remaining are still getting constructed. It may take another three months.

Here is a list of interesting places to watch,

Tussads Wax Museum:

Here one can find wax statues of renowned hollywood personalities, political leaders, religious and national leaders, fictional characters, etc..

It is worth a visit for first timers. The biggest disadvantage is the visitors are not allowed to get within  four  feet of the wax figures.Everywhere in the world one will get to stand with or near the wax figures and click photos. Not so here. One more draw back is very few Indian celeberaties wax models are here. They could do better by having the Indain Celebs like  Amitabh,Shahrukh,Sachin etc.Morever most figures were hollywood icons. It is worth a visit for 50 rupees for first timers. Outside the Wax museum, there is a shop that makes wax hands for 50 rupees. One can try this.

Mirror Maze:

This was rightly recomended by the IFC authouratis,This is a innovative idea and certainly will be interesting for the entire family irrespective of age.  I felt it was quite professionally managed as the staff handed out plastic gloves to the visitors and helped them keep the luggage to enjoy the experience inside. The inside was dimly lit with small red lights on the floors. It costs 100 rupees!  worth it only once.

4D Movie :

The 4th Dimension movie is very interesting & worth watching. The 10 minutes movie is highly recomended, but not for small kids.It costs 100 rupees.

Ripleys Believe it or not:

Consists of Ripley's miracles and all his mysterious collections. Few items in this are very good and kids will certainly find this interesting . The revolving cylinder, Ghost, Tap with running water etc .Its cost 100 rupees.Again a worth.specially for the kids.

Aqua Kingdom:

Contains an artificial beach ridden with palm trees, benches and a beach-volleyball court. Do not compare this with the Wonderla,(Wonderla is very near to IFC)This is not  as big  as a Pond . Its a  small pool with  many people trying to find their space in water. The water is dirty , The waves with the loud music are present only for about 15 minutes ,during the 45 minute stay in water. Its enjoyable for Kids.

Gokarting :

Its a smaller race lap. Its designed to lend a completeness to the entertainment-district rather than offer a professional racing experience. Its good for amateurs.priced @ 150 rs for four lapse.

Dino Park :

Excellent for kids. Great attempt to revitalize the era of the dinosaurs, with artificially resurrected dino's of all species in their native habitats. They have been made to move and make noises adding to the ambience. Not recomended for kids below five years.

Apart from these lovely & lively places,If time permits one can visit the Cartoon City,Miniature city,Touring talkies, Roller skates, Fun Plex, Wild Wild West, Fossil Hunt, Guiness records, Haunted Mansion and Snow world .

Few tips for first time  visitors,Leave early in the day to avoid the traffic & enjoy IFC completely. Carry spare clothes for the Aqua pool, it is well worth it.

Dear friends Overall, a nice one day getaway from Bangalore .Hang-out with friends & family for a day & have all the fun .
