When I had moved to a new city as part of my official transfer I did not have a gas connection. The induction stove and the cookwares helped me survive. It took me two months to get the gas connection but I used these induction cookware for all my cooking.

These days Induction cookwares are really popular and are available at a very low price cranges too

Even though this helped me a lot I have faced many difficulties too. Firstly , the buttons on the induction stove are quite delicate and very sensitive. They can even be operated with finger nails but this sensitivity didn't last long as it stopped working and responding in 2 months time. I kept on pressing these buttons and it didn't not respond as desired or were very slow in detecting.

The next drawback is the automatic sensor in it which detects of a dish is getting burnt or not and gets turned off on detection. Whenever I try to make some dish which I fry and reauires to be golden brown the induction stove detects it to be burnt dish and turns off the stove automatically preventing me from completing the dish the way I want.

The next trouble is that there is a setting for roti or dosa maker where it maintains a pre heated temperature always to let me prepare roti or dosa which requires the stove to be on. But this mode is not always perfect for making Parathas and also for making dosa like rawa dosa and all. Hence I feel have to set and maintain the tawa at a medium temperature until all the parathas or rotis are made and so consumes a lot of electricity.

A burning smell came out of my induction stove and it turned off. It was not getting on after that. This happened just 2 months after my purchase. When I tried to repair it I came to know that the coils inside has got damaged and a repair would be quite costly. The vendor said these cooktops don't have such a long life and buying a new one was more advisable than repairing this.

When we talk about the other induction cookwares such as Kadais, pans or cookers , they too have few flaws. These days most of the cookwares come with an induction base because of its rising popularity but may not be of good quality. I had bought a pressure pan from Prestige which has an induction base. Unfortunately whenever I try to use it on top of my induction stove an alarm starts ringing as it does not detect the induction base of this cooker. Moreover the coating from this cookwares corrode very easily and do not have a good life. I think thats the reason why its so cheap these days.
