On higher recommendation from many friends and family & websites, we took our mother to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi.We were told by hospitals in ranchi that tumer needs a surgery and we should consult a surgical gastreologist. We took an appointment on 4rth June with Mr.Deepak Govil, explained everything and Mr.Govil after 2 days of analysis(along with more senior doctors-Mr.Faizal etc)came to a conclusion that surgery will be planned on 8th June.
On asking several time, he always told that this is a normal operation of tumer and there is no risk and no need to worry. Once tumer is removed, we will send to lab and according to the biopsy report further we will proceed. But, there is nothing to worry.
As planned, they have charged 3 lac for operation and we submitted the same beforehand.
After operation, Mr.Deepak Govil told that operation is successful and heartrate and bp is affected but it will be normalised. He didn't told that he has spoiled everything in the operation and tumer was leaked due to his mistake. Apart from that, he told 2 operations were performed and charges increased from 3 to 5 lac.
Attitude of the doctor changed from friendly to weird(avoiding meeting).and as every doctor says we tried our best and we lost our mother. Mr.Deepak Govil if you are reading this please reply, we tried meeting you after this incident but you never showed up? You spoiled everything and not accepting your mistake, now you are telling tumer was perforated before we admitted. Why you didn't told before operating? Atleast accept your mistake!
After all this incident, we got a summary bill of 1.92 lac again for collecting the dead body. Discussing a lot with the manager and cash counter bill was settled by paying 1 lac. Also, they have written wrong DOB in the bills and now they are saying they can't change back dated as patient is no more!
People reading this, please try to refer some other hospitals and atleast don't go to Mr.Deepak Govil in Apollo, because of whom we lost our mother.
Careless doctors and best money maker in this profession!
