My mother was admitted in Indo American hospital. She was suffering with Lucemia (blood cancer). Dr. Santha of Indo-American Hospital informed that her condition is normal and we can give her Kemotherapy. On her instructions, I took my mother to Care Hospital, Banjara Hills for 2D Echo test. The test showed that her general condition is normal. Next day Dr. Santha instructed the nursing staff to start Kemo (without any supervision from any doctor).
They completed one dose by evening and my mother developed severe breathlessness problem and was shifted to MICU. Dr. Santha came next morning and told us, there is nothing to worry and instructed the doctors of MICU to Continue with the drugs and my mother was discharged the same evening with breathing problem. The nurses (as no doctor was available) told me that her condition will be better after sometime. Her condition still got worst at home and I had to bring her back in the middle of the night and admit her again in MICU. The next morning Dr. Santha came and looked at my mother and informed us to take to some other medical facility where there is cardiac back-up as my mother has problem with the heart. I then took her to Care Hospital where they told us very clearly that the drugs have damaged my mother totally and there is NO CARDIAC PROBLEM - this is due to the DRUG INDUCED by Dr. Santha. I lost my mother within three days after that.
Please suggest me where can I complaint against such a doctor and the facility. Because everyone thinks that Indo-American Hospital is one of the good hospitals for cancer patients. But it is only a hospital to make money not serve patients. Maybe the trust which controls the hospital should look back and see whether they are able to do anything on the wish of Mr. Late NTR.
