The good
          
Indigo’s combination of single type of aircraft for entire fleet together with A grade US management seems to be working. The flight is always on time, offers very good prices and is comfortable onboard.

Considering it’s a budget airline, it far better than fullfare Jet Airways & Indian these days because it is extremely punctual and also has better legroom than Jet; lets not even talk about Indian ’s punctuality and comfort! The only  full fare airline that one is tempted to use instead of Indigo is Kingfisher which has exceptional onboard comfort and punctuality.

Compared to other budgets, JetLite, GoAir and Deccan, Indigo is miles ahead both in punctuality and onboard comfort. My last 6 flights have all been ontime even in Delhi fog! It has high quality comfotable seats with excellent quality fixtures. The only budget that compares in onboard comfort and is SpiceJet, but connectivity, punctulaity and pricing are a problem with SpiceJet (prices can suddenly go up).

Sandwiches are sold onboard and are satisfactory.

Luggage delivery is satisfactory, but nowhere near JetAirway’s super quick delivery.

Shortcomings
But I am still not satisfied with Indigo’s leg room and I think Indigo missed a huge opportunity to build a very strong name for it’s self by compromising in this department. Indigo could have been the Jet Blue of India and given great leg room in Economy. That said, leg room is better than Jet Airways, JetLite and Indian.

The last but not least missing attribute is side head rests that enable you to sleep comfortably by supporting your head. This is an extremely important feature for catching that all important nap whe on a business flight. The only airline in India which has these is Kingfisher.
