In our pursuit to send across a gift to our Mothers’ in India on mother’s day, me and my husband ’’unfortunately’’ hit upon this so called premier site www.indiawithlove.com. We ordered a couple of Mother’s day gift hampers and expected it to be delivered on Mother’s day with a personal touch as requested . But when I called my mother-in-law to wish her on mother’s day, we found out that the gift did not reach her and it was such a big let down for us. What followed was a series of emails tracking down our order. Despite the mistake of the shipper, their customer service was giving us totally wrong information about the order. The representative in her email was not even apologetic and went to the extent of saying that we are confusing ourselves with the gifts that we ordered. When requested to send us a proof of delivery, they were unable to send us any as there was none obviously.

After many exchanges of emails and trackdown she was able to report that finally they have shipped the gifts much after Mother’ day and finally received by my mother-in-law. However the very excitement and essence of getting her a gift while she was away from us was lost in the midst of all this chaos. Now for the quality of the gifts was that much also to charge over a thousand bucks for a simple hamper of chocolate bar, a small mug with quote and a card. What I fail to understand is that why don’t these online shopping companies do what they claim in their site.

They claimed to use FEDEX as their courier which apparently they did not and instead used some local couriers. Secondly the promise of a personal touch and Thirdly delivery on the date required. Overall the experience was a total let down and would never ever shop with this site again and also would not recommend it to any one. The last mail was to refund our money back as the site claimed to have a money back guarantee in case of dissatisfaction...

AS EXPECTED THERE WAS NO REPLY TO THIS MAIL BY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE :-)
