Whenever and wherever coaches remain idle by virtue of train schedules, such coaches should be utilized for clearing the rush on crowded dates and routes. As of now coaches of weekly scheduled trains remain
idle at certain points even choking the yard capacity. Holiday specials can be formed utilizing such coaches which will help the passengers and also increase the revenue of the railways. One or two formations should be kept spare in order to run extra trains as and when required at convenient spots on each zonal railway so that it can be moved to the required point wirthin minimum time as a service train or as empty one. By doing so he overcrowding in general compartments can be minimized. The railways should give consideration for unreserved passengers also as they are either the unfortunate last comers who could not plan their journey or ordinary working class who cannot spare a sum for advance booking.
