Title : its good,but....

I was a avid reader in my younger days.As time went along my habbits changed and reading receded into the background.One day, a friend told me about indiatodaybookclub and so I decided to join.

On the whole, it is really good.A wide variety of books are avaliable, the discounts are fantastic and its really worth joining.

However I found a few major problem.The web site does not really lend itself to online transactions.In this day and age thats a severe downside.specially for a web site.

Here is how it works.Every month, they send you a catalogue.The books are listed and the catalogue contains a order form.You can order your books and pay by cheque,draft or credit card.Somehow, I am very sceptical about sending my credit card details on a piece of paper.Anyone can take the details and misuse it.I prefer the online route.Believe me people , this IS safe if certified.Anyway, I logged on and there began my problems.

First of all the site takes a awful time to load.It is increadibly slow. Secondly,not all titles that were in the cat. were listed online. Navigation is not really user friendly. The search usually turns up ’’no results’’ I mailed them and now its three days , no response. India today bookclub is a real good deal, but the web site does not do justice.
