Made the great mistake of trusting the India Today name. Received an unsolicited mail for a promotional offer and signed up for books as am an avid reader. The whole thing turned out to be a mega scam
wherein extra charges were levied for delivery which made the whole package cost more than the actual cost of the product. To add insult to injury, the print quality of the books was the same as the pirated editions which one can pick up from the sidewalk at one tenth the cost. The creme - de - la creme was the discovery that they had neglected to fulfil the complete order after having already taken the money for it. One CD was found missing from the jacket, the other CD was found cracked. Thank God! this valuable experience was earned at a cost of slightly just a thousand rupees and not more. Sent an email, no reply. Nobody attends the listed phone lines. Went to the website to check. Found their forum chock a block with grievances which the website administrators havent found time to read for eons. Kicked myself for placing the order without checking the website first. So this in a nutshell is the great Indiatodaybookclub scam story. Not worth touching even with a ten foot bargrpole. DO NOT FALL PREY TO THE SCAM OF THESE FRAUDS AND CHEATS!!!! Absolute thieves!!!. I wish there was a provision of giving a negative rating on this page
