At the outset, congratulations to Idea Cellular for entering Mumbai!
          

          

This small step will go a long way in making this Birla controlled
cellular operator raise its national profile & generate more
revenue. They have indeed come a long way from the fledgeling RPG
cellular, as they were then known, when they commenced business from MP
& Chattisgarh, way back in 1999.

I am one of the oldest subscribers to this cell service.

But it is difficult to understand how they rate the credit limit of their users. After
about nine years of using this service, that too liberally, I qualify
for only Rs. 1,323/- rupees worth of usage per month, that too with ISD
on!

Lakhs of rupees have been probably paid by me,
sincerely, regularly, carefully and religiously, and someone somewhere
at Idea Cellulat thinks, I qualify only for this stingy limit, upon
reaching which, I may abscond, leave them in the lurch or just vanish!


Come on Idea, in this changed business scenario, learn to trust your
subscribers. Taking a long look, you will realise that they are your
business partners. A hefty limit will only make the subscriber use your
service more frequently.

At least for the past nine years that is what I have done, without default.


And see how AirTel MP&CG does it. An AirTel postpaid connection was
acquired by my office. STD is on while ISD is not. And the credit limit
offered by them without generating even a single invoice? A cool Rs.
3,000/-!

No coubt AirTel is scoring over Idea.

Someone has truthfully said, "It is all in the mind, my dear".
