I-max, well its been a place that is most definitely talked about. So much so that when I used to tell my friends n relatives that I hadnt seen the same, they would mostly look at me as tho i was
from another planet. So this Saturday, after a hectic day, me and a couple of friends, decided to make it to IMax.
The journey to Imax, was a pain, considering the bad roads so badly maintained by the BMC. But that was the journey. When we reached this place all our weariness just left us. This is one cool place dudes. The Ambience inside is amazing. This place has 4 theatres of the regular kind, and one that is one of its kind in Asia. The IMax Dome, is indeed a wonder. It was an amazing experience for us from the word go. Sure, the tickets seem to be steeply priced, considering that we just get to see documentaries ( only for an hour) - Rs 150/-; But it is an experience one has to have atleast once. One thing though, since the seats do not have numbers, be sure to be there early on. Get to the highest spot in the theatre, and go on a magical ride. The film I got to see was Grand Canyon. The effecs are mindblowing folks. You just have to be there to experience it. There is an introduction for the new folks. For those of you who have motion sickness, the way out is to close your eyes.
We did see some other trailers as well, but of all those, the ones that would really be enjoyed would be the scenic films rather than the animal kingdom type. What fun is it to have an elephant staring at you from 5 storeys of the screen?
For those of you who would rather catch a regular flick, there are other theatres in this multiplex. All in all, the place is quite spacious, ample parking available.
So go on and enjoy it.
If only we could get to Star Wars there..sigh!
